The Hawks’ Charitable Trust

Hawks’ Club is the home of sporting excellence in Cambridge since 1872. It represents the best sportsmen in the University of Cambridge and membership is by election.

Proceeds from this online auction will go to The Hawks’ Charitable Trust. The Trust was established in 1996 with modest endowment capital donated by Members to provide grants to current Cambridge University students, male and female, whose sporting activities were being inhibited by financial constraints. A generous bequest from David Jennens (Clare College 1947-51, Rowing) increased dramatically the size of the endowment capital in 2003, and the fund now has investments currently around £850,000. The Trust is the single largest charity devoted to funding sport in the University.
