Hadiza foundation was founded in 2014 in Coventry UK but registered with the charity commission in April 2016. Hadiza foundation is a patient run charity.

The foundation was formed as a result of the founders personal experience with kidney disease and the desire to help people experiencing this illness and also to increase the awareness of kidney failure.

WHAT WE DO

  • Educating and increasing the awareness of kidney disease, its cause, prevention and treatment within the African and Caribbean community in the UK and in Sub Saharan Africa.
  • Increase the awareness of organ donation among the African and Caribbean community in the UK.
  • The Establishment of Free dialysis centres in two African countries starting with Nigeria.
  • Pre and post dialysis and transplant support in these countries.
  • Training of renal personnel on best methods and practices in renal care.
  • Linkage of partner hospitals in the UK with local hospitals in these countries.
  • Facilitation of research into renal disease in Africa.
  • Creating Awareness campaigns on issues relating to kidney disease.

Provide information, advice and assistance that are tailored to meet the requirements of Africans and Caribbeans living with kidney disease.

To see a well informed and educated society on the dangers of kidney disease and the reduction of deaths caused by kidney failure in sub Saharan Africa.
