Delivering Silent Auction Technology to hundreds of events
We work with charities, clubs, schools and companies of all sizes, providing silent auction management at a variety of events including charity dinners, awards nights, golf days, gala balls and sportsman’s dinners.
Community Furniture Aid (CFA) is a growing charity, run and manned by a small dedicated team of volunteers who furnish homes for people on the lowest incomes within our community. We work closely with the Salvation Army, Flying start, Social Service, Womensaid, the Prison service and the ex services personnel. Sadly, we can only provide services to people that have been referred to us by recognized organizations due to limited stock, storage space and availability of volunteers.
We source furniture, via donations and they need to be clean and undamaged so as to make a comfortable home for those who cannot afford to buy brand new or even second hand items from shops.
In the 21st century we still see children and families sleeping on concrete floors and we try and give them some dignity by making their lives more comfortable by offering them a starter pack which contains something to sleep on, something to eat off and something to sit on.
However, we are reliant on the generosity of the general public to offer us the items that we need.
We have cut our costs to a minimum by storing donated items in an old church that has no electricity or water, but we still have the costs of hiring a van, insurances and general expenses in order for us to be able to deliver the crisis packs to those most in need. Without any funding, CFA operates a sustainable charity without charging excessive fees.
